Kimi Raikkonen is perfectly set for tomorrow’s French Formula 1 Grand Prix at Magny-Cours, after he drove a tidy lap to claim pole position earlier this afternoon.
It’s a Ferrari lock out, with Raikkonen’s team mate Felipe Massa sitting in second, and thanks to Lewis Hamilton’s ten place demotion – because of the mistake he made in Canada when he didn’t see the red light on at the end of the pit lane – Fernando Alonso and his Renault are up into third.
Toyota’s Jarno Trulli turned in an impressive performance for fourth ahead of McLaren’s Heikki Kovalainen, who everyone was expecting more from.
Robert Kubica’s BMW was off the pace – but not as much as team mate Nick Heidfeld’s, who saw him knocked out in Q2 – that left the world championship leader on row three.
So what did you think? And are you going to make any predictions?
