To while away an otherwise dreary Thursday afternoon – if you’re not in the UK you’re probably outside in the sun anyway – here’s a compilation of the Top 10 Formula 1 crashes. Just to get you in the mood for a sure to be wet German Grand Prix this coming weekend.

I saw the Belgian one live on TV, that was amazing !
They changed a lot this corner (“La source”), it’s much safer now.

The clips were great but the music was of bad taste. No one likes punk rock about nothing. That should be the title.
I remember seeing the ‘98 Spa crash. Awesome TV, and a win for Damon Hill. But I’d hate to be in some of those crashes. Ah hell, any of them.
Huge… i dont think trhat order was correct, but top ten was quiet clear… Zanardis crash was really bad looking, but so was nr9, Martin Brundle crash too…

I’ll always remember Mika Hakkinen overtaking Schuey on a straight line with a 3rd car on theire way, that was gutsy !

Well that was fun!!! Spa 1998 was the best crash ever I remember watching it on live TV, it still amazes me now that all that was caused by one guy veering off into the wall…

U say that no one likes a crash, but we do. ok i dont want to see anyone get hurt but alot of the time a crash like them makes a race more interesting, Especially on tracks were they cant overtake. If you think about it the 1990s was the best decade for F1 for the fact that there was more action and that the FIA didnt keep changing the finishing result of a race because someone gained an advantage of 0.01 seconds. But also that there were all those crashes. If you think the biggest recent crash was in 2007 when Kubica crashed in Canada which definatly made that race more exciting.
