Singpore GP: practice

Practice is on over at ITV-f1.com, so go there and watch it. And if you go to BBC Radio Five Live‘s site, you can listen to our own Maurice Hamilton commentating on it.

There’s been a few spins, Webber’s driven straight into a wall and Alonso’s currently fastest. Second practice will be on later, at 14:30, so watch one or both, and let us know what you think.

The track looks superb to our eyes, and we’re very excited about the race! It seems to be throwing up some interesting challenges for the drivers, and it’s great watching them get to grips with the all-new track during the practice session.

Another new street track, same old problem…..

Just like in Valencia, nobody will be able to overtake. Although at least this time we have a pretty backdrop to admire once we get bored of watching the precession…..

Hamilton to win.

My personal gipsy tells me that massa will spin off at lap 3 and kimi will crash into hamilton, just for kicks, and there’ll be some sort of fisty cuff between big schu and alonso…..though i must say my gipsy was pretty drunk when he babbled this

hamilton to win to show ferrari that they cant have it all the time. if massa wins chapionship it was only due to belgium. he dont deserve. he made more mistakes then any 1 else. look at last week ham moved from 14 to 2 at 1 point massa stayed 6th all the way .

this is not last week..
this is today..

hamilton is always fast.
my prediction is-
1- Hamilton
2- Massa
3- Kovalainen.

still massa could have taken advantage of the situation last week. he was 6 places ahead. if he was really good he would have pulled of the moves to be 2nd or 1st. but he isnt gud and doesnt deserve the championship just like last year kimi didnt deserve.

My predictions whilst im here are

1 Hamilton cos hes good at learning new tracks.
2 Massa cos hes good at tracks like valencia n singapore

3 vettel cos he’ll be the surprise package and is the best driver on the grid and schumi II

Concerned F1 fan: Current drivers would be loath to question the FIA’s decision, there would be consequences. And a number of former drivers (notable Niki Lauda and Jackie Stewart) have criticized the decision.

Stupid english hamilton lovers, jesus get out of his arse, he’s so overrated. he’s never goinna be world champ, when massa and kimmi are fininshed, vettel ,Kubica and Kovalainen will beat him.

Everyone shut up and stop babbling on like a bunch of drunk footballers. Wait till tomorrow and then we can start talking. This will be the first weekend where virtually every team ads the very last of their major improvements to their cars, i.e make yourself ready for a few final shifts in the status quo on the grid!

And stop this Ferrari battering: every time in the last 20 years when a British driver is contesting for the championship the only thing english supporters can do is bad mouth the other nations and teams? It was the same with Mansell, Hill, Button and Coulthard (in their Williams days). Back then it was always anti-McLaren and all about Williams being treated unfairly. How things have changed…

Let’s leave it to the drivers and see who’s talking after Saturday!

I think Kubica and Alonso will shine well here. Because it’s dark, speed isn’t the key. The Ferraris are definitely the fastest cars, but if you can’t see, it’s useless. The BMWs may be better off because they’re more controlable and less powerful whilst still being very competitive cars power-wise. Alonso also stands a good chance for similar reasons, and he’s also proven that by being the fastest in practice. Qualis is where it counts though, and tomorrow is another day.
