Singapore GP: pole lap

You’ve got to feel sorry for Massa after yesterday’s huge disaster by the guy in charge of Ferrari’s pitstop – you should perhaps feel even more sorry for him, he can’t be having a good day – but watch Felipe’s pole lap again ‘cos it was stunning. (And be quick, it’ll get taken down soon.)

@mclaren funny this thread wasn’t about that get over it. what happens happens including penalties to hamilton.

Great Qualifying lap by Massa. Superb he did not put a foot wrong. Shame the outcome on the day did not stay this way. Good race all in all it was nice to see Alonso on the podium.

No doubt Massa did a superb performance during qualifying, and in the race. But I am willing to feel sorry if and only if Hamilton get this year’s title. Otherwise I would say justice served. BTW the site of the Mechanics running towards Massa’s car is priceless. I would say “Thank you God”.

Great car + Great track = Great Lap.

    Shame I don’t like the driver…

I mean, clearly he’s skilled, but he’s not consistent enough to be a champion and thus gets in the way of Hamilton and ultimately Raikkonen’s title campaign.

    [Soz 4 the multi-post]

Oh, and I agree that the fuel line trouble was, in effect, payback for Spa. Even if it was just plain bad luck.

It was a great lap. The neatest & tidyest lap of the season possibly. Back end stepped out twice but otherwise very Prost like. Massa can drive.

Bit fed up with all the Conspiracy/Payback stuff.
Forget about it for a bit & enjoy the lap again.

ferrari and both guys will strike back-i am very confident in that.
and by the way those lights maybe have caused trouble, but you got to give it to ferrari for trying to evolve and make a step forward even if it is such a small thing.
regardless of what anyone says, ferrari are the best team, and they have the best cars and they have the best drivers.
and it is passion that you feel when a ferrari drives by you on the street or road, and they manage to bring it to sport in those red cars with the right attitude!
it is the passion that others just might not quite have out there on the track.
when all the nonsense started about FIA this and ferrari that it just feels something stupid now as you deeply down in your heart admire the perfection and not trying, but just being the best.

Call it fate but whatever happened has just made things more exciting and im getting tired of this chucking-dirt-on-hamilton  /ferrari its just pure nonsense when people dont know when to stop
Leave what happened in the court room, and for the record it was very wrong. If you COULD do something about it, go there instead of ranting about it here

Spectacular lap, but it’s a difficult track to complete consistently at that pace. I think Alonso’s times towards the ends would be the fastest consistent ones.

Yo got to hand it to Massa, when he drives godd hew really drives… The thing is that Massa is Brazilian, and if he has taken even 1% of Schumacher’s german consistency he would be a great driver.

he set the car up well and the ferrari turned into each corner with ease. the 6 tenths margin is on overstatement of the lap but he still hit every apex and nailed particularly the first and second sectors

what a lap and i think turn ten is fantastic and for the eagle eyed viewers that watch top gear you might want to report the final corner to the ferrari suck up’s i mean the fia.

What an amazingly well driven lap from Massa! I can’t understand how people are so critical of him saying he spins so much and doesn’t have the car control. He’s had a fantastic qualifying record and loads of podiums as well as being second overall AND he’s only the number 2 driver! I would genuinely like to see Hamilton win this year even though the UK media and fans are totally over the top when it comes to him (must be because your football+rugby teams are rubbish!) but Massa would be a worthy winner.
