This forum is for everybody, no matter where you are from, who you support or what your opinion is. Whether you support or dont, agree or dont please post. This is the idea of a forum.

In the absence of any undisputable facts on the matter, you need to stop ‘bullying’ people by calling them ‘stupid’ or whatever if they dont agree with you.

I actually watched the race, unlike many people on this forum and its pretty obvious from both the toyotas having the same lap times that Glock didnt slow for Hamilton.
Hamilton won this year so get over it

yes its really interesting how glock was NOT the only driver who gambled on the slicks yet he was the only one that lost so much time in the last lap!! lets face it ham drove like a tosser, it was exiting tho, heres to one of the best seasons in f1 may they all be as eventfull

I can’t understand why is there controversy about Glock. Even if he did slow down for Hamilton (which he didn’t) that would have been his right to do so. Just like Alonso said he would help Massa any way he could if the oppurtunity arose (which it didn’t) Glock has a right to help Hamilton if he wanted to. So there is nothing to speculate about because it makes no difference and doesn’t matter.

PS. I was rooting for Massa.

Oh come on you lot, decrying Lewis. Glock was only up front in the first place because he had dry tyres for the dry bits. Had he pitted for wets he would have been way down. So it made sense to hang on and hope, but it became too wet. Ferrari and McLaren had to copy each other to avoid missing out on a sudden change in the other’s favour. Massa did a great job on the day, but it wasn’t enough. If he deserved the W.C. he should have wrapped it up B4 the last race. How can you become world champ based on your opponent not coming higher than 5th in the last race?. Felipe did the best, but it was out of his hands at the finish of the previous race. Lewis is World Champ, well done Lewis. But well done Massa, Alonso and Vettel too. Next year’s top four!
BUT, if you conspiracy theorists want something to think about, why did those ‘other’ Ferrari engined cars keep getting in the way?
Felipe had luck (the FIA?) on his side in several races. He convincingly won his home G.P. That’s good enough for me anyway. But Lewis was too far in front in the championship at the start of the race . . I wouldn’t have been at all surprised had he been shunted off to make sure he didn’t come fifth. Good on yer Lewis (and Ron), roll on next year’s contest!

bottom line is that points is what matters. We have a new possible multiple title winner in the making. As many of you have blogged, we are the small people. FIA dont care what we say. Let Hamilton enjoy his win this season. Nothing that anyone can do to take that away from him. Next season will be new races, new config’s and a lot more awesome action and the FIA…..Well done Lewis Hamilton

In all honesty, that was the most tense race in the world. Kudos to Lewis, good luck next year, hope that next years car is just as fast as this year.

I can’t understand why people don’t get the fact Glock didn’t just simply let Hamilton by. Anyone remebr Spa where Hiedfeld came from 8th to 3rd in the last couple of laps? He managed it because he took a gamble on intermediate tyres when everyone else decided to stay out on drys.

We all saw what happened to Kimi atg the same race(Spa – crash out 2nd to last lap), why can’t people see that it is perfectly plausible for Glock to lose over 18 seconds in the pouring rain on dry tyres.

May i also remind the doubters that Glock put in a faster lap than his team mate Trulli, who wasn’t any way near either Vettel, Hamilton or Glock on the lap in question!

totally agree with andy g! Glcok didn’t let him by, just look at how slow he is coming out of that last corner! He didn’t have to let everyone by now did he? Not easy driving an F1 car on a half wet surface.

Blimey I have never seen so many rubbish uninformed comments! It’s a slurr on Glock to keep on about him, he drove his best race and didn’t give it to anyone. Do you think he wanted to finish behind Hamilton or Vettel for that matter? Other point is if Hamilton had stayed on dry tyres he would have been ahead of Glock by a long way and possibly Vettel too. The last race is only one in a whole season – every driver could have done things differently in many races so it’s a shame that all this attitude against certain drivers spoils what was probably the most exciting season for a long time.
BTW – to the guy who said Schumacher won in the middle of the season aren’t you forgetting his first title when he only won in the last race by driving into Damon Hill!!!! If that was today (with the FIA) he would have been disqualified!

Post 467 had it right- it was all about tires. This race was won on strategy and calculated risk as well as outstanding driving. And it was darn entertaining – I think I stopped breathing for the last lap.

Four of the leaders pitted for rain tires, one did not. (Strategy.) The rain came, and Glock had to slow as he was sliding in the turn. (Calculated risk – would the rain matter or not – turns out it did.) By pitting to swap tires, Hamilton was setting himself up for just such an opportunity. The saying is true: LUCK is what happens when PREPARATION meets OPPORTUNITY.

Hey, Is anyone still fuming about the belgein Grand Prix, The facts are below, H for Hamilton, R for Rakkion:
Immediately before the chicane, H is directly behind R – both going same speed.
After the chicane, at start line, H is directly behind R – both going same speed.
How then was there an advantage to H?
H passes R at next corner by better driving.
A lap later R deliberately sweeps very wide at a long left hand bend, well off the track clearly going faster than H. He then retains that momentum to pass H in the kerfuffle with a lapped car rejoining the track, but then fairly soon crashes.
H is found guilty of gaining an advantage by driving off the track!!!!! R is not even charged!!!!! R not featuring in the results is irrelevant.
No team shall overtake a Ferrari driver, at any point in the race unless that Car has crashed out or is in the pits.

This however is subject to conditions that Ferrari pay the FIA the most amount of money, if any other team choose to pay more than the rule changes in favour of whatever team that is.
