In an age where most F1 drivers are less exciting than the accountants who balance their books, our boy Lewis has just got himself nicked for doing a powerslide in downtown Melbourne.
What he has diplomatically referred to as driving in an ‘over-exuberant manner’ is exactly what most of us would have done in a rent-a-Merc if we’d just gone fastest in free practice.
The car was impounded but Lewis will probably escape with a hefty fine. Is McLaren’s Mr Clean turning into the new James Hunt? Here’s hoping…
