Sauber’s worry was genuine and realistic. They were going for 18 points (remember last year they got 44 points all year) Overtaking Alonso would be too much risky in those conditions. They could both lose the race.

Don’t know the message came before Perez went wide but he tried really hard and that moment was nearly ruining the podium chance.

Oh my god, the conspiracy bs is unbelievable. Perez is a young driver in a situation he has never been before and under difficult conditions. He slipped. Yeah, this MUST be Ferrari pushing Sauber to make Perez skid of… of course, the most logical explanation… kids and numpties should not be allowed to use the net.

To say that Ferrari “bullied” Sauber into making a mistake is pure and utter crap of the highest order. Perez’s front tyres were going off because there was alot of positive downforce added to the front wing during one of his stops. With that in mind Perez was caught out as he had alot of confidence in the car’s performance and felt he could go faster and faster. This is common in Formula One cars and explains why drivers set fastest lap after fastest lap because the car and driver are in total harmony and then they stop setting fastest laps because something changes and the car isn’t in harmony with the driver anymore, when this happens the driver gets caught out because he doesn’t expect it. This is what happened to Perez. God I hate F1 noobs.
