Monaco 2nd practice: Lewis is on it

Lewis Hamilton is up for Monaco. The world champion put in a storming, sliding run to record the second-fastest time in second practice on the narrow street circuit this afternoon, 0.2 seconds behind Nico Rosberg in the Williams. Rosberg loves practice.

Max’s tier drop?

The FIA will ditch the idea of a two-tier F1 championship, but aren’t prepared to budge much on the £40m budget. That’s what seems to have come out of Max ‘n’ Bernie’s Big Budget Cap Meeting.

McLaren’s slapped wrist

Most wins doesn’t win

Points? Medals? Both? Neither? What in the name of James Hunt is going on with F1’s scoring scheme?   The FIA has now scrapped the ‘most wins wins’ system announced just last Tuesday, following a backlash from the Formula One Teams’ Association.
