BBC Sport’s Ted Kravitz always comes up with some great insider type blogs, and his latest episode post-Abu Dhabi is more of the same.

Watching the MotoGP on Saturday from the Netherlands, they cut to the pitlane for a report, and the sound cut out. It was excellent – all you could hear were the bikes hammering round. Which led me to thinking: why don’t the Beeb offer that as an option via the Red Button for the F1?

It’s nearly upon us. Even with all the winter testing and new regulations excitement, it’s felt like a long time since Felipe Massa took the chequered flag in Brazil last year.

The BBC’s F1 editor Mark Wilkin has written a rather lengthy blog over on their Sport site about all the new stuff we’ll see from the Beeb regarding practice/quailfying/main event coverage during a race weekend.
