Euro fighter

Lewis Hamilton took a convincing pole at the European GP in Valencia today, confirming that his McLaren is now genuinely fast and that his first win of the year in Hungary wasn’t simply a fluke.

Euro practice

Renault’s Fernando Alonso posted the quickest time of the day during practice for the Euro GP in Valencia, despite having a spin and driving into BMW’s Nick Heidfeld during the session.

Who will fill Felipe’s shoes?

Felipe Massa’s condition is improving, and the Hungarian doctors are talking very positively about him making a full recovery – they’ve also played down talk of him having damaged the sight in his left eye.

Euro GP: view from the ground

The Valencia race was as boring to watch from trackside as Bill Thomas assures me it was from his armchair. I was there (at the track, not Bill’s armchair) and after a couple of laps it was apparent that this was not going to be a classic event.

Euro GP: bored

Oops, fell asleep before the first stops. Usually I fall asleep between the first and second stops on dull circuits. This one is especially dull. A complete and utter failure in my book. It’s halfway through and I’ve switched it off. Bernie, the circuit is a disaster.
