Quick Nick: seatless

The final song in the big game of F1 Off-Season Musical Chairs is fading to silence. Today, Mercedes are expected to confirm Nick Heidfeld as their reserve driver for 2010, while new boys USF1 have secured Argentine racer Jose Maria Lopez, and Toro Rosso have announced they will hang on to Jaime Alguersari.

Kimi’s rally wild show

Nice to see Massa up and about, but his black eye and Hammer horror scar serve as a salutary reminder of the fallibility of even the latest technology, and of us mere mortals that rely upon it.

Brazilian GP: warming up

The weekend kicked off with the press conference in a small room – unfortunate as this was the best attended of all 18 Thursday press conferences. The seats were quickly filled with journalists, leaving standing room only, much to the annoyance of photographers herded in at the back.
