Jenson Button: can he do it?

I wrote a story about Brawn GP a couple of weeks ago for the magazine, which you can read about this week when you buy it, which you should – it’s a good issue, though I would say that, wouldn’t I?

More Brawn for Merc?

Posted by Jamie Hibbard at 12:50 pm on Tuesday September 8, 2009 31 Comments

Mercedes-Benz is set to buy a chunk of championship leaders Brawn GP, according to F1’s rumour mill. Who’s going where, which drivers are changing teams, how that impacts on other free seats… there’s just something about the intrigue that gets me. It’s like the US presidential race, but actually interesting.

Honda’s KERS jump

Posted by Jamie Hibbard at 4:03 pm on Monday September 22, 2008 31 Comments

Here’s something interesting to distract us from the Lewis Did-He-Didn’t-He hoo-hah: Honda ran their KERS at the Jerez test last week, and their engineers reckon that the system is right on target to be ready for the start of next season.

Euro GP: view from the ground

Posted by nicktrott at 11:27 am on Wednesday August 27, 2008 22 Comments

The Valencia race was as boring to watch from trackside as Bill Thomas assures me it was from his armchair. I was there (at the track, not Bill’s armchair) and after a couple of laps it was apparent that this was not going to be a classic event.
