Chinese whispers

Finally some good news for Lewis Hamilton. The world champion went fastest during today’s first practice in China, doubtless thanks to a whole bunch of aero revisions to his McLaren.

Malaysian GP: fallout

As Jason Barlow said, the start time malarkey last weekend was bizzare, but Bernie’s told Autosport that he has no problems with it: “I don’t see anything wrong with the start time, we just didn’t know about the rain. If we had started at 2pm then it would have rained as well.”

Malaysia practice: Ferrari on top

The Ferraris are both back at the top of the time sheets after today’s second practice in Sepang for the Malaysian GP, with Kimi Raikkonen going quickest. But his morning wasn’t without drama. Or smoke. Lots of smoke.

‘Phoenix from the flames’ is an overused phrase relating to Brawn GP, but it’s no less apt because of it. A Brawn one-two in Australia – who’d have predicted that only a month ago?

Over the Button moon

Now that was intense. If you’d have asked me at the end of last year to predict which Brit would be on pole in Australia 2009, I wouldn’t have called it for Jenson Button. But what an amazing story that it is.
