Turkey shootout

Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel pulled it out of the bag during qualifying in Istanbul for the Turkish Grand Prix, and not surprisingly, he looked pretty chuffed about it.

Talking Turkey

We like the Turkish Grand Prix, mainly because of that massive, triple-apex Turn Eight. Watching drivers pin it through there from the onboard camera is an adrenalin rush just sitting on the sofa. Imagine how it feels when your brain’s being forced out of your right ear-hole by the G-force…

Jenson wins!

‘Phoenix from the flames’ is an overused phrase relating to Brawn GP, but it’s no less apt because of it. A Brawn one-two in Australia – who’d have predicted that only a month ago?

The true picture?

It’s hard to come to terms with all the stories that have just been generated by that qualifying session! Is your head as muddled as mine? I’ll do my best to un-muddle but it isn’t easy!

Australian GP preview

It’s nearly upon us. Even with all the winter testing and new regulations excitement, it’s felt like a long time since Felipe Massa took the chequered flag in Brazil last year.

Japanese GP: Aggro Lewis?

You will either agree or be outraged. Lewis Hamilton walked into the paddock this morning to be greeted by the news that Robert Kubica had been slagging him off for dangerous driving. Or, at least, that was the interpretation adopted by a couple of British national newspapers.

Not-so-silly season

I love the silly season between the end of one year’s racing and the beginning of the next. Who’s going where, which drivers are changing teams, how that impacts on other free seats… there’s just something about the intrigue that gets me. It’s like the US presidential race, but actually interesting.
