Buemi ‘fine’ after big crash

Sebastien Buemi was ‘extremely disappointed’ following practice for the Chinese GP, after he crashed out at high speed when both of his front wheels parted company with his car.

Lewis Hamilton replaced McLaren team-mate Jenson Button at the head of the free practice times at the end of the opening day in Shanghai, as Mercedes power dominated proceedings.

Jenson Button stormed ahead to the win in Spain, leaving teammate Rubens Barrichello wondering how he threw it all away. Still, Brawn will be happy.

The Ferraris are both back at the top of the time sheets after today’s second practice in Sepang for the Malaysian GP, with Kimi Raikkonen going quickest. But his morning wasn’t without drama. Or smoke. Lots of smoke.
